Women in Franchising: Where InXpress Fits In

women in franchising

InXpress is committed to celebrating and sustaining  a diverse workplace, so we are committed to making sure women on our team have the information and tools they need to be successful in franchising.

Part of that is knowing where we are in terms of involvement of women in the franchising industry, and their work satisfaction.

Franchise Business Review surveyed 6,400 female franchisees representing 300 franchise brands from July 2015 to December 2016, asking participants’ opinions about a variety of topics including:

  • Their franchisor
  • Core values
  • Leadership
  • Training
  • Job satisfaction
  • Lifestyle

We were excited to find that—overall–90% of the women surveyed enjoyed being in franchising, respect their franchisor, and would recommend their industry to someone else. They appreciated the integrity and mutual respect of their work environment–two things that are central tenets of the InXpress value system.

Our industry–business services–was one of the key fields which brought women to the franchising industry. Our franchisees find fulfillment in utilizing their relationship-building skills to give their customers the best possible service.

There were two overall areas where most women in franchising felt there could be some improvement:

  • Work-Life Balance
  • Too Many Hours Worked

And we agree! One of the reasons all of our franchisees–men and women alike–love working with InXpress is the flexibility that our home-based model allows.

It means everyone can maintain healthy boundaries—and balance—between their personal and professional life. Our franchisees can set their own hours, and utilize our support and resource system to enrich their performance and reach their goals.
